Doldrums

Bit of a lull, currently. A ton of snow coming down of late, really all there is to report. I'll pop in again when there's a bit more interesting info.

I will stop the being of the jerkface now

I promise.

Quick Notes:

- No really, I promise!!

Interesting New Years Eve

This is not to say it was an overly great New Years Eve this year, I should certainly clarify that point. A very mediocre day with many ill happenings throughout, only barely managing to be salvaged near the very end before we crossed the threshold into this new year of our Lord, 2010. Kate and I hung out at Danny and Sally's place with them and Luke, and Claire was over as well. Eric and Chantal made a brief appearance, but were not around for long before once again departing. Shame that we don't see Eric much, but Chantal doesn't seem to want to hang out much, and I think Eric plays toward keeping Chantal happy, which IS his choice, I just don't have to like it. :P

Quick Notes!

- Wings beat the Avs tonight 4-2!! GO WINGS!!!
- Didn't get nearly as drunk as I would've liked.
- Did get to kiss Kate at Midnight, started 2010 with mah honey. :)

Dawn is finally here!

Thank God I FINALLY beat Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn! I've packed almost 90 hours into that sucker before finally beating it, and I'm glad to see it come to a close. I'm still working on Dragon Age: Origins for the XBOX360, but I don't have any other RPGs on the Wii to start. Oh well, I have a ton of PS2 RPGs I haven't finished (many I haven't even started), maybe I'll pop one of those in next...!

Quick Notes:

- Going to celebrate New Year's tomorrow evening!
- Heading to the theatre to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie.
- OMG the food, we have so much food in our apartment!! (love)

My, how things change...

...And yet so much stays the same. It's now December 2009 and the Troupe, now known as Hubcity Theatre Company, is in a bit better shape than when I last posted here. We're currently on a Holiday break before heading into the final leg of rehearsals for our latest production, The Madwoman of Chaillot.

I now work in a call centre to get by, so if any movie producers see this, for the love of Christ, save me. My university degree hasn't done me much good as of yet, but the experiences I had whilst getting it have been heavily influencial and I still don't regret it to this day.

In two years, I've been to the height of glory and the depths of despair one right after the other in terms of the Red Wings, watching them win the Stanley Cup in 07-08, then watching them lose in Game 7 of the finals in 08-09. Everyone is claiming how this is a "transition year", just another season in my book, another shot at Stanley.

Some quick Quick Notes:

- Almost New Years!
- Wings currently just out of playoff spot
- Kate and I have been together 7 years since 12.06 (go us!)

Anyone reading should crank my ass about this, make sure I keep writing...

Some mild whining

I want to be an actor.

I reeeally want to be an actor.

I can't find how best to get WORK as an actor. And it's driving me insane. I've been working at getting into the acting industry for a few years now, and so far, beyond a couple of far-fetched opportunities gone awry, nothing surfaces. I co-own an acting troupe, which I feel is a good start, but so far nothing bigger has appeared because of it. If that falls through, I'm in big trouble as far as chasing my dream goes.

Argh, it's just frustrating. I know it will never be easy, and I knew that going into this crazy scheme. If ANYONE reading this has any sort of advice, please, for the love of everything, comment and let me hear it!

Quick notes:

- Red Wings lost their game to Chicago on Sunday (damnit all...)
- Bought 3 rapiers for upcoming Troupe performances (shiny...)
- It's getting cold (seems like winter's finally here...)

Troupe Troubles

The Troupe's future isn't looking quite as bright as I would have hoped it to...We've been having more people drop out of the Company than we've had people coming in, and that is not a recipe for success. I need to go in and try to get Rogers to let me do some volunteer TV work for them, it's the only thing I can think of to do to get me going in the right direction while I'm finishing off university. There have been movies filing in the area, but nothing has panned out for me, as of yet...

...Guess all I can do is keep trying...
